Our History
Precision Door is the leading garage door repair franchise in the U.S. This location serves the entire Central Michigan Area including Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, & Mt. Pleasant. The Central Michigan branch opened in 2025, which is locally owned and operated.
Garage Door Technician/Installer
This position is responsible for the professional installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial garage doors, openers, and related equipment. The Technician will work closely with customers to ensure their satisfaction and uphold the high standards of Precision Garage Door.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately install new garage doors, openers, and related accessories according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair a variety of garage door issues, including broken springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and openers. Perform routine maintenance services, such as lubrication, adjustments, and safety inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the work performed.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the scope of work, pricing, and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in garage door installation, repair, and maintenance (preferred).
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 100 lbs).
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights.
